Alan L. Hein

Alan L. Hein, 62, of Fairbury, passed away Dec. 4, 2015 at Jefferson Community Health Center. He was born April, 26th, 1953 to Orra and Ruth Hein.

He was a dedicated family man and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Alan enjoyed working with his son Travis, and brother Kenny at the family business Hein Construction. Alan and Kenny started running the business together in 1977 when their dad Orra retired. Alan enjoyed all types of hunting and fishing. Alan was also an avid Cornhusker fan.

Alan is survived by his loving wife of thirty three years Deborah (Blair) Hein, son John Blair and wife Amy, son Travis Hein and wife Pepper, son Shawn J. Hein, son Chris Fry, daughter Megan (Hein) Tracy and husband David, daughter Angie Hein, Brothers Kenny Hein and Ron Hein, sister Anna May Johnson, sisters in-law Marilyn Hein, Sharon Santellano; fifteen grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Orra and Ruth Hein, and brother Scott Hein.

Funeral services will on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Fairbury. The family will greet friend on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury.
