Albert D Oliver, born on Sept 19, 1953 to Burnice and Christina (Montague) Oliver in Mexico, Missouri. Albert was the 9th child of this union out of 12. Albert entered his heavenly home at the age of 71 on Nov 30, 2024. In his youth Albert attended elementary school in Morrowville, Kansas and finished school in 1971 between Sutton and Wesminster High Schools.
Through his early years of employment, Albert did different jobs all the way from working with companies who poured concrete at New Wal Mart facilities in Texas, Arizona, Missouri and Oklahoma. He did some truck driving as well. Albert worked locally with a Bandag/Tire recapping company here in Fairbury for 4 to 5 weeks before attending college at Southeast Community College and graduating with an Associates Degree in 1987.
After college Albert went to Phoenix Arizona where he did numerous jobs, whether part-time or odd jobs. Always staying busy there till he moved to Denver Colorado and got a job roofing, where he fell from a roof and hurt his back. During that tough time he acquired spinal meningitis, which in time disabled him and ended a work career.
Albert was an enthusiastic hunter and an avid fisherman. Engulfed in outdoor sports which he did till these later years due to health reasons.
Albert entered Gods family being baptized at the Morrowville Christian Church on June 18, 1964.
Albert was diagnosed with several forms of cancer about 5 years ago and since then he has made numerous trips to doctors being treated with Chemo, Radiation and infusions up to his passing. He fought a hard and good battle up to the end. With all the pain he endured he did pass peacefully at home.
Albert is survived by his siblings Gail Roberts of Tomball Texas, Kay Endorf and husband Charles of Fairbury Nebraska, Roberta Keller, Roy Oliver and Leon (Kim) Oliver of Fairbury and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Burnie and Chris Oliver, Brothers Butch and Spike, Sisters Harriet, Mora, Georgia Oliver Ritthaler and Carrie Oliver (Charles) Siebe, as well as nephews Clifford Endorf, Clayton Brandt, Lance Keller, Chuck Keller, and Willis Oliver.
Funeral services are Friday December 6, 2024 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral home in Fairbury Nebraska at 11:00 A.M., followed by a luncheon at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury and then committal at Washington City Cemetery, Washington Kansas. Pastor Glen Emery officiating.
