Alice Marie Hodges Gibson

Alice Marie Hodges Gibson age 94 of Fairbury, Nebraska passed away on January 9, 2013. She was born April 20, 1918 at El Dorado, Kansas the daughter of Samuel and Elsie Gage Hackbarth.

Survivors include her daughter Linda Swanberg and husband Garry, daughter-in-law Gwen Hodges, grandchildren Rhonda Hodges, Jeri Lynn Hodges, Sara Hodges, J.J. Hodges, Amy Cook, Amber Hodges, 7 great-grandchildren, sisters Ethel Williams, Agnes Roland, Lillian Colmer, Thelma Bean, Carol Barber, brother Bill Hackbarth.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Vernon “Doc” Hodges, second husband Quinten Gibson, son Jerry Hodges, parents Samuel and Elsie, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, great-grandchild Brett Leigh.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury with Pastor Warren Schoming officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home
