Alma Siebengartner

Alma Siebengartner, 88, formerly of Fairbury, NE, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, KS. She was born January 3, 1928, in Pawnee City, Nebraska the daughter of David and Rose (Prahl) Milburn.

She graduated from Huntington Beach Union High School, Huntington Beach, California in 1945. Shortly after she married the love of her life, Martin L. Siebengartner and they were married until his death in 1985.

Survivors include their three children: Craig Siebengartner, Linn, KS, Linda (Noel) True, Washington, KS, and Nancy (Robert) Wiedergreen, Jansen, NE. She has seven grandchildren: Brian True, Fairbury, NE, Tammy (Mike) Reeves, Basehor, KS, David True, Tucson, AZ, Daniel True, Tucson, AZ, Andrea (Dusty) Schmidt, Fairbury, NE, Craig Wiedergreen, Fairbury, NE, and Jessica (Alex) Johnson, Lincoln, NE. She has seven great grandchildren: Peyton, Caden, and Ashlyn Reeves, Allison and Lily Davis, and Kelbie and Meigha Schmidt. Her surviving sisters are: Opal Garten and Lois Nankervis both of Auburn, CA, and Doris Franco of San Jose, CA.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Orval, Richard, Don, and Ted, sisters: Vivian and Alice.

Alma was an avid quilter, gardener, and loved refinishing furniture. Her family considered her a renaissance woman as she could tackle any project. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a true blessing to her family and friends. She was deeply loved and will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Zion State Line Lutheran Church of rural Hollenberg, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Hollenberg, Kansas Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Tuesday at the church 1 hour prior to funeral services. Memorials are to the Linn Nursing Home.
