Anna Potter

Anna Louise (Krause) Potter, 86, died at 8:15 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at George Davis Manor in West Lafayette IN. She suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for over 10 years. She was born on February 2, 1922 in Reynolds NE to the late Paul C and Alma A Krause.

She married Eugene Potter on December 31, 1946 in Lansing KS. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Potter graduated from Reynolds High School in 1939 and became a beautician after attending Beauty School in Beatrice NE.  She opened a Shoppe in Reynolds in the early 1940’s and later worked in several Beauty Shoppes in Nebraska and Kansas. From 1952 to 1992 she worked as a beautician in Wichita KS. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed collecting antiques and spending time with her nieces and nephews and was affectionately known by the family as “Aunt Sis”.

Surviving is a brother Paul (Bill) Krause of West Lafayette IN, nieces Debra Provost, husband Charles, of Indianapolis IN  and Jane Krause of West Lafayette IN  and nephews David Krause, wife Roberta, and Philip Krause, wife Elizabeth, both of West Lafayette IN. Also surviving are 2 great nieces and 5 great nephews.


A brief Graveside Service will be held at the Reynolds Rose Creek Cemetery at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 4, 2008, with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating. A gathering at the Reynolds Community Center will follow. Memorials may be given in her name to the Reynolds Rose Creek Cemetery, Reynolds, NE, 68429; Attn: Harold Riddle P.O. Box 123.
