Anna Margaret Steele

Anna Margaret Steele, age 80 of Fairbury, passed away on April 12, 2008 in Lincoln. She was born November 30, 1927 at Fairbury the daughter of John and Agnes Scheer Muller.

Survivors include her sons Dennis Steele and wife Carol of Fairbury,
Kenneth Steele and wife Sherry of Hickman, Nebraska, James Steele and wife Diane of Omaha, Nebraska, Timothy Steele and wife Pam of Grand Prairie, Texas, daughter Nancy Jarchow and husband Todd of Lincoln, Nebraska, 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother Bill Muller and wife Lois of Fairbury, sister Betty L’Ecuyer and husband Pat of Morrowville, Kansas, sisters-in-law Mary Ann Muller of Fairbury, Kay Joyner and husband Sam of Jansen, Nebraska, Pat Kappmeyer of San Jose, California, brothers-in-law Dick Leonard and wife Trudy of Fairbury, Mike Leonard and wife Shirley of El Cajon, California, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, sister Marie Muller, brother Bernard Muller and grandson Andrew “Andy” Steele.

Vigil service will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Due to remodeling at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fairbury, the Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beatrice. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials are to the family’s choice in lieu of flowers. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home of Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
