Audrey A. Morehead

Audrey Aileen (Thompson) Morehead passed from this life March 3, 2022 at the Heritage Care Center in Fairbury, Nebraska.  She was born November 26, 1930 in Norway Kansas to Lester and Alice Thompson.  On June 14, 1951 she married Darrel Morehead and to this union three children were born.  Audrey was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend and her greatest joy was time spent with these loved ones.  She loved horse racing, sports of all kinds, especially KU basketball, playing cards and watching the blue birds and cardinals in her flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Darrel; brothers, Bob and Max Thompson; sister, Patsy Thompson; and great granddaughter,  Ellie Ann McCall.

Audrey is survived by her children;  Corinne (Gaylen) Bartling of Malcolm NE Jimmie (Sherry) Morehead of Fairbury NE and Larry (Lisa) Morehead of Asher OK; nine grand children and 22 great grand children.  She is also survived by 2 sisters; Rose Nondorf of Jefferson City MO. and Betty Melby of Belleville KS;  sisters and brother in-law and many beloved nieces and nephews.
