Becky Ann Meredith

June 22, 1966 — January 2, 2022

Fairbury

Becky Ann Seibolt Meredith was born June 22, 1966, in Omaha, NE. She was shortly after adopted by Ruth and Leonard Seibolt, and brought to Fairbury, NE where she would spend her life growing up with her older brother, John. Becky was a bit of a wild child, often running off to go see her best friends down the street. Grandma Seibolt would spend lots of time looking for her, only for her to be playing in a neighbor’s yard or home not too far from the house. In January of 1983, she married Kevin Snook and their first child would be born, Tabitha. She then moved back to Nebraska where she would attend Josephs College of Beauty and earn her degree as a cosmetologist. Many of you know her as your hairdresser, and this is something she loved. She would end up moving around a lot from Lincoln to Grand Island to Fairbury, and a few small towns in between, but would eventually settle in Fairbury around friends and family to raise her kids. It was then that she met JD and they would go on to marry in September of 1994. He would prove to be a great husband for her and father for the kids. They lived briefly on a farm in Deshler, where she would mainly be a stay-at-home mother and take care of the kids. After a few years, they moved back to Fairbury to start doing hair again and do what she loved. Through out the years she has had several hobbies and endeavors; from making basket purses to jewelry to at one point even deciding to buy a kiln to attempt to do pottery. But the most important thing she would take interest in were her 12 grandchildren. She spent numerous evenings and afternoons at ball games and trap shoots, where she could always be heard hooping and hollering for the kids. She spent Friday evenings having game nights when they were younger, sometimes watching the grandkids during the days and doing crafts or whatever new and cute ideas she found on Pinterest. Becky also spent many hours rearranging and redecorating their home, we know the woman loved to shop. She was always looking for new ideas of things she could do to keep her busy and mainly enjoyed thrift stores and later garage sales with her food friend Nancy.
Becky had many loves in her life, but her husband, kids and grandkids were the top of that list. She constantly called to check in and see how life was, just to remind the kids she was proud of them and was thinking of them. Even going as far as to write on her end of life wishes that the kids were all very loved, and her world.
It’s unfortunate but not long before her battle with covid, she lost her youngest son Colton. And this took a piece of her heart with her. She tried her hardest keeping the family together, continuing to do holiday dinners and the annual pumpkin carving for Halloween, even though it was had for everyone3 to keep it together after his accident. She held her family very close to her and enjoyed as much time as she could with all of them.
Becky has left behind her husband, Jade Meredith, 3 kids – Tabitha, Brian and Brandon, stepdaughter Mandy, and numerous grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Leonard Seibolt, and son, Colton Snook.
