Betty May Munoz, age 77 of Fairbury, NE., passed away November 29, 2008 at Bryan LGH East Hospital in Lincoln. She was born January 19, 1931 at Seattle, Washington.

Survivors are husband of 58 years Pete Munoz of Fairbury, daughters & husbands: Mary & Kipp Starr of Steele City, NE., Annette & Curt Beyer of Bismarck, N.D., Alexa & Nathan Behrends of Fairbury, 5 grandchildren: Nicholas Shoemaker & wife Shawna of Starkville, Mississippi, Zachary Shoemaker of Phoenix, Arizona, Marisa Behrends of Fairbury, Jesse & Brianna Kadrmas of Bismark, N.D., 2 great-granddaughters: Abigail & Amelia Shoemaker, sister: Patricia Bornschlegl & husband Don of Geneva, NE., brothers: Morton McKay of El Paso, TX., C.B. McKay & wife Nancy of Mission, TX. Preceded in death by her parents Chauncey & Estelle (Hendrickson) McKay, nephew Dirk Bornschlegl.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 4, 2008 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury with Pastor Charles Schmidt officiating. Burial at the Fairbury Cemetery - Fairbury, NE. Memorials are to the American Cancer Society or Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
