Betty Ota Shanek

Betty O. Shanek, 90 of Odell, NE passed away July 30, 2015 at Bryan West in Lincoln. She was born to William Otis and Bessie Bernice (Young) Leeper October 22, 1924 at Wymore, Nebraska.
Survivors are husband Walter, son Jerry Shanek of Detroit, MI, daughter Cheryl Laux of Bridgeport, NE, 6 grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Services will be Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Odell with Pastor Curt Magelky officiating. Memorials will go to the Odell Methodist Church or Odell Cemetery. Burial will be in the Odell Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Book will be available at funeral home on Monday, from 3:00 – 8:00. Vance-Gerdes Funeral Home in Odell is in charge of arrangements.
