Beverly Jean (Riddle) Korte was born at home on the family farm near Diller, NE on October 16, 1932 to Steven Earl Riddle and Gladys (Klein) Riddle. She graduated from high school in a class of 5 from Steele City, NE in 1950 and later went on to graduate from Fairbury Junior College.
Beverly and the love of her life, Delbert Korte were, married September 19, 1954. They enjoyed many husker games together where they held season tickets for many years and decorated with Big Red memorabilia. They also attended many car shows and took numerous trips with other couples. Delbert and Bev were great dog lovers and enjoyed their years together with their “kids” Tabbie and later Bailey.
Beverly taught rural school Dist. 32 near Steele City and later worked at the Fairbury State Bank, The First National Bank and later at the Fairbury City Offices for 32 years.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Delbert, by her parents, infant sister, Helen, brother and sister-in-law-Wallace and Dorothy Riddle, Sister and brother-in-law-Sharon and Curtis Bennett.
Beverly is survived on the Riddle side by great nieces Deb Bulin (Alan), Diane Kujath (Pat) and Darcy Nun (Larry) as well as numerous nieces and nephews from Delbert’s side of the family who held a very special place in her heart. She is also survived by special friends Evelyn Cunningham and Robert and Dee Short.
Services will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home. There will be no viewing. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
