Billie J. Mohr

Billie Jean Mohr, age 71, of Fairbury NE, passed away at Heritage Care Center after a long battle with cancer, holding the hands of her daughter, Brandi Kubes and granddaughter Kianna McLain. Billie was born on January 9th, 1950 to Esther and Harold Kulhanek in Fairbury.

Billie married Claud (New) Poynor. They went on to have 2 children, Brian Poynor and Brandi (Poynor) Kubes.  They later divorced. She remarried to Gary Mohr.

She retired from the Fairbury Hospital in 2015, where she worked as a supervisor, as well as in purchasing and receiving. Previously she had worked at Swingsters sewing Factory. Before that she ran an in home daycare. Her passion for watching kids was so strong.

In Billie's free time, she loved camping, playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed dancing and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. Billie also loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her grandma and grandpa Eden, her mother Esther Kulhanek, her ex-husband Gary Mohr, and sister Cloey Lopez.

She is survived by her father Harold Kulhanek Jr. of Fairbury NE. Daughter Brandi and her husband Jeff Kubes of Fairbury NE. Son Brian Poynor of Lincoln NE. Granddaughter Kianna and her husband Dalton McLain of Fairbury NE. Grandson Dawson Kubes of Fairbury NE.  Grandkids Dustin, Tiffany, and Dakota of Lincoln NE. And 3 great grand-children of Fairbury NE.
