Billy L. Weier

Billy Ludwig Weier, 92 passed away July 2, 2017 at the Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. Bill was born to Richard Ernest & Vada (Stewart) Weier on September 8, 1924 in Powell, NE. He graduated from Fairbury High School in 1942 and served in the United States Navy in World War II from June 1, 1943 to March 3, 1946. He spent his life in the surrounding area. Bill was Co-Owner of Bud & Bill’s Ready Mix in Steele City, NE from 1954 until his retirement in 1988.

Survivors are daughters Constance Liesenfeld, Roxanna Weier & Mary Weier, step children: Mickey & Sandra McIntyre, Gary & Cheryl Reith & Randy & Janice McIntyre. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lila, 3 sisters Lois Tepner, Elizabeth Strommen & Bernice Miller & 2 brothers Harold & Norris Weier & step-son Michael McIntyre.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 7, 2017 at the Fairbury Cemetery – Fairbury, NE, with Darlene Novotny officiating. Memorials to the Fairbury VFW. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
