Bruce Emmett Nolte

Bruce Emmett Nolte of Fairbury NE passed away on July 17, 2023 at his home.  He was born on May 14th, 1948 to Emmett and Loleta (Hummel) Nolte in Fairbury NE.

Bruce graduated from Fairbury High School in 1966.  After graduating high school Bruce joined the Nebraska National Guard.  On November 29th 1968 Bruce was united in marriage to Lila Jean Cline.  To this union they were blessed with 3 children, Wendy, Jodi, and Shawn.  Bruce farmed for all of life.  He enjoyed being with friends, family, and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Wendy Graff (Clint) of Hollenberg KS, Jodi Hevelone of Fairbury, Shawn Nolte and fiancé Kristen Swisher of Beatrice NE.  Grandchildren Macy, Katlynn, and Joseph Hevelone, Courtney, Trevor, and Tregan Graff, Evan, Hailey, and Abigail Nolte.  Sister Belva Winters (Walt) of St Louis MO.  Brother-in-law Dave (Joane) Cline of Pella IA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lila Jean, parents Emmet and Loleta Nolte, in-laws Harley and Gladys Cline.

Services will be Monday, July 24, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church – Daykin, NE. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice.  The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home in Fairbury.  Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
