Carmen M. Juarez March 14, 1930 - May 11, 2022. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Almaguer Juarez and Alfonso Juarez, sister Bessie Harmon, sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Salvador Aguilera, sister Mary Juarez, brothers Richard and Arnold “Tucker” Juarez, niece Rosemary Garnica Kotowski, and Carmen’s beloved pet Sophie. Survived by nieces Margaret Aguilera, Elizabeth Aguilera and Susan Aguilera-Robles of Omaha. Great nephews and nieces, Salvador S. Robles, Gabriella Robles (Guillermo Valadez), Andrea Robles and Nicolas Robles of Omaha, Joseph Kotowski III, Richard Kotowski and Jennifer Kotowski, also cousins, other family and friends.
Carmen was a lifetime resident of Fairbury. She was a devoted Catholic and spent many hours at church , she prayed the rosary and watched EWTN. She also enjoyed watching Animal Planet because she loved all animals. Carmen worked as a housekeeper for 50 plus years at St. Michael’s rectory and church. She retired this past January at the age of 91.
Rosary, Wednesday May 18th at 7:00 pm at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial, Thursday May 19th 10:30 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Memorials as directed by the family. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
