Carrie L. Siebe

Carrie Louise (Oliver) Siebe, born July 23, 1955, to Burnice S Oliver and wife Christina R. (Montague) Oliver in Brownfield TX. She was the 10 th child of 12 and the youngest girl. She died on June 26, 2020 at the age of 64 years old, 11 months, and 3 days at Bryan Medical Hospital West. For 2 years and 8 months, she fought a long hard battle with cancer.

During her younger years she lived in various locations, settling in Fairbury, NE at the age of 16. After attending Fairbury High School for a time, she moved to Denver. During that time, her daughter Christina Jo Oliver was born. Carrie did not want to raise a daughter in the city, so she moved back to Fairbury.

She met and later married Charles Lee Siebe on July 18, 1980 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury. Carrie worked in the restaurant and tavern business. Carrie and Charles bought Brunswick Tavern, which became Chuckles, which they owned for several years.

Carrie and Charles had a love for cars and were often seen riding around in their convertibles or traveling to car shows. They often went  antiquing, camping, and to the races. She had a love for giant family gatherings, spending time and playing games with her brothers, sisters, and nieces and nephews.

On October 17, 2004, Carrie was saved and baptized in the New Testament Baptist Church in Brush, CO.

Carrie is survived by daughter Christina Jo Oliver of Chandler AZ. Three sisters Flora Gail Roberts of Tomball, TX, Kay (Charles) Endorf, Bobbie (Melvin) Keller, and three brothers Roy Oliver, Albert Oliver and Leon (Kim) Oliver, all of Fairbury, NE and many nieces and nephews.

Carrie was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and husband, Brothers Burnice (Butch) Oliver Jr., Walter (Spike) Oliver and Sisters Darlene Mora, Jo Ritthaler, Baby Oliver and four nephews.

The Pallbearers are Robert Wylie, Burnie Endorf, Gene Roberts, Gregg Roberts, David Johnson, and James Jones.

The Honorary Pallbearers are Roy Oliver, Albert Oliver, Leon Oliver, Mike Mora, Steve Howey, Jeff Roland & Levi Garcia.

Services will be Jul 3, 2020, at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.  and burial in Fairbury Cemetery, services officiated by Pastor Greg Olson of Southwood Lutheran of Lincoln, NE. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, mask will be required during the services.
