Charlene Janice Zabel 82, born September 27, 1931 at Wymore, Ne., to Ralph and Iva Anderson (Merle) Cacek, passed away at Bryan LGH-East in Lincoln on November 11, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Howard, sons; Lynn & wife Becky of Lincoln, Ne.; Dean & wife Jean of King George, VA; and Bruce & wife Brenda of Omaha, Ne. 6 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Granchild, and Sister; Elaine & husband Alvin Hennerberg of Fairbury, Ne. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Arnold and Virgil.
The family will greet friends on Friday, November 15, 2013, from 7:00- 8:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Services will be Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Karl Lent officiating. Memorials will go to the United Methodist Church in Fairbury or Family’s Choice.
Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
