Chester "Chet" Kellie

Chester “Chet” Kellie age 87 formerly of Endicott, Nebraska passed away on December 17, 2011. He was born April 5, 1924 the son of James and Helen Terrill Kellie. He was the long-time proprietor of the OK Mattress Works in Endicott.

Survivors include his daughters Connie Mewes and husband Glenn of Blue Springs, Nebraska, Wanda Just of Beatrice, Nebraska, son Raymond Boyce and Jennifer of Hebron, Nebraska, son-in-law Bob Helget of Kansas City, grandchildren Randy Mewes and wife Vesta of Sterling, Nebraska, Jeff Helget of Endicott, Nebraska Stephanie Helget of Vancouver, Washington, April Morrison and husband Jeff of Lincoln, Nebraska, Trevor Boyce and wife Stacy of Plymouth, Nebraska, Ryan Boyce and wife Stacy of Tobias, Nebraska, Justin Boyce of Hebron, Nebraska, Chelsea Boyce of Hebron, Nebraska, John Snyder and wife Linda of Beatrice, Nebraska, Mike Snyder and wife Marilus of Beatrice, Nebraska, Scott Henson and wife Becky of Plymouth, Nebraska, Ronda Mewes and Hugh Carmichael of Blue Springs, Nebraska, Kellie Smith and Bill England of Lincoln, Nebraska, sister-in-law Violet Kellie of Endicott, Nebraska, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Goldie Kellie, daughter Sharon Helget, brothers Jamie Kellie, Bernard Kellie, Clyde Kellie, sisters-in-law Lucy Seachord, Gracie Harper, Agnes Williams, Leah Woods, brother-in-law Tom Woods, son-in-law Larry Just and 2 infant grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Endicott. Burial will be at the Steele City Cemetery at Steele City, Nebraska. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury.
