Clarice A Siemsen

Clarice Ann (Goebel) Siemsen, 82, or rural Fairbury, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Gardenside LTC in Fairbury.  She was born at the family farm in Jefferson County, Nebraska on December 24, 1935 to Paul & Alice (Pavlicek) Goebel.

She attended grade school at District 44 and graduated from Fairbury High School in 1953.

She was baptized on September 10, 1954 and became a communicant member of Grace Lutheran Church on September 12, 1954.

She was married to Eugene E. Siemsen on February 28, 1954.  They were the parents of three children, Shari, Steven and Lisa.

She was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake and collect recipes.  She enjoyed genealogy, creating family history scrap books for each branch of the family and she enjoyed reading.  She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

For more than 19 years she served as Church Secretary at Grace Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Eugene.

Surviving her are daughter Shari (Dwight) Stelling, son Steve Siemsen and daughter Lisa (Tim) Stallings and two grandchildren, Jacob Stallings and Alicia Stallings and brothers Paul Goebel and Don Goebel.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church – Fairbury, with Pastor Glenn Meyer officiating. The family will greet friends Friday, August 10 ^th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Burial at Grace Lutheran Cemetery – Gladstone, NE. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements
