Constance "Connie" Rice

Connie Rice, 89 of Fairbury, passed away Saturday at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln, NE. She was born April 6, 1923 at Fairbury, NE to H.B. & Sophie Jacobs Messenger.

She is survived by daughters Carolyn Adams and husband Dick of Topeka, KS and Shelly Brandt and husband Roger of Friend, NE, a son Richard Rice and wife Bonnie of Lincoln, NE. 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred, brothers Robert and Harold, sisters Harriet and Eileen.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., at the Presbyterian Church in Fairbury, with Pastor Steve Frazier officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Presbyterian Church or Jefferson Community Health Center. The family will greet friends from 6:30 - 8:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
