Dale Arthur Wilson

Dale Arthur Wilson, 85, was born March 10, 1930, Jefferson County, NE. The only son of Clyde Arthur and Minnie Dell (Williams) Wilson. He attended rural school district 6 at Kesterson and graduated from Fairbury High School with the class of 1948.

He lived on the family farm south of Fairbury all of his life farming and raising livestock. He served on active duty with the United States Marine Corps 1952-1954.

He was a member of the Fairbury United Methodist Church, the Fairbury Elks Lodge and The American Legion. Dale enjoyed traveling seeing the United States and several foreign lands. He retired from farming in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his father Clyde (1956), mother Minnie (1987), and sisters Virginia Dell Bankus (2004), Mavis Jean Patterson (2012), Verna Arlene Haase (2014). He is survived by nephews Richard Haase, Del Mar, CA, Steve (Kathy) Haase Burlington, IA and Mike (Diane) Patterson, Littleton, CO, cousins Jim (Carol) Barber, Fairbury, NE and Bob (Kay) Barber, Gold Canyon, AZ.

A memorial service will be held on October 7, 2015, 1 p.m. at the Fairbury United Methodist Church, Reverend Fay Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials to Jefferson County 4-H Council.
