Daniel J. Sprague

Daniel James Sprague was born on August 31, 1940, in Beatrice, NE and passed of natural causes on June 8, 2022, at his home in Naples, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents William and Hazel Sprague, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife Lois, two sons David and Dean, 5 grandchildren Nicholaus, Gabriel, Isaac and wife Nicole, Abigail and husband Clay, and Mason, great grandchildren Maya, Peter, and Kit, brother William and wife Nancy and sister Ruth Shodenkirk, sister-in-law Marilee Krehnke and husband Dean, lifetime friend Guy G. Miller, whose son is named after him, Daniel James Miller.

Dan lived a productive life in the glass business. In 1976 he started his own glass business in Fairbury, Nebraska and later added 3 more stores. He sold these businesses and retired in 2000 to Glades Golf and Country Club, playing golf with his friends.

Dan was in the National Guard as an accomplished shooter and won many awards for his marksmanship.

Growing up in Nebraska he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He had his private pilot’s license and loved flying during his earlier years.  Dan attended Christian services at Celebration Community Beach Church.  In his memory please support the charity of your choice or a local Animal Shelter.
