Darlene Diekmann, 77 of Tobias, NE passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln. She was born March 1, 1933 at David City, NE to Fred and Mary Kadavy Hunt. Former owner of Roadrunner Lounge in Daykin. She is survived by sons Alan Ratkovec and wife Bev of Lincoln, NE, Gary Ratkovec of Lincoln, NE and Don Diekmann of Utica, NE. Daughters Sandra Bartels of David City, NE, Brenda Brakhage and husband John of Castro Valley, CA. 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sisters Betty Kozisek and husband Bill of David City, NE and Dorothy Vavrina and husband Terry of Abie, NE. Preceded in death by parents, husband Don and a brother Donald Hunt. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Daykin with Pastor Lawrence Fruhling officiating. Memorials are to family's choice. Family will greet friends from 2:00 - 4:00 on Sunday at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury in charge of arrangements.
