Delmar F. Rosenthal

Delmar R. Rosenthal 89 of Fairbury, passed away May 29, 2015. He was born May 18, 1926 in rural Cook, Nebraska to Henry and Anna (Hestermann) Rosenthal. He moved with his parents to Beatrice in 1929 and attended School District 150 and St. Paul Parochial School.

Delmar farmed near Beatrice. In 1972 he moved to Morrowville, KS, where he farmed and raised cattle until 1998. He then moved to Fairbury, NE where he has resided since.

He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and traveling.

Survivors are sister Naomi Spielman of Beatrice, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Anna Rosenthal, brothers & sisters-in-law John & Melinda, Arthur & Elsie, Arnold & Martha, Oscar & Milda and Eldon Rosenthal, sister & brother-in-law Madonna & Edward Waltke, and brother-in-law Herman Spielman.

Services will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Schmidt officiating. Memorials are to the church or Heritage Care Center. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Harbine, NE. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
