Dennis Dayle Dragoo

August 12, 1951 – February 8, 2021

Dennis (Denny) Dayle Dragoo, 69, of Fairbury, passed away February 8, 2021 at his home.  He was born to Gayle and Nettie Carol Dragoo on August 12, 1951.  He graduated from Fairbury High School in 1969 and briefly attended Creighton University.

Denny was well known for his sharp mind and quick wit.  He had a passion for sports especially football and had a strong interest in politics.  He was proud of his children and especially fond of his grandchildren.

Denny is survived by his children: Eric (Paige) Dragoo of Frisco, Texas, Greg (Angie) Dragoo of Fairbury, and Lisa Davis of Lincoln, as well as his sister Karen (Jim) Dragoo Imler of Lincoln.  In addition, he has six grandchildren:  Gage and Isabella Dragoo, Chase and Chandler Dragoo, and Halle and Peyton Davis.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Denny’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 13 ^th at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury with a private burial to be determined at a later date.  Memorial donations to go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
