Doloris "Dee" Nispel

January 16, 1925 — November 14, 2011

Doloris “Dee” Odett Williams Nispel of Fairbury, Nebraska was born on Jan. 16, 1925 to Julius “Jack” and Gladys Aliene Yohn Williams. She died on November 14, 2011 at home with her family at the age of 86.

The family moved to Fairbury in 1934 where her father was Owner/manager of Fairbury Livestock Co. for over 50 years. Her mother was a homemaker.
In 1945 she married Carroll Nispel in Salt Lake City, UT. The couple resided in Las Vegas, NV during the war where Carroll was in the Air force and Doloris held a civil service position.
When the war was over the couple moved back to Lincoln, NE and Carroll attended the University of Nebraska and Doloris worked for the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics.
In 1949 they moved back to Fairbury and Carroll took the position of Assistant Manager at Fairbury Livestock Co. until his death in 1966 and Doloris was a homemaker and worked part-time at Fairbury Livestock Co. as a clerk.
Doloris moved to Lincoln in 1984 where she resided until recently moving back to be with her family in Fairbury.
She loved to spend time at the family Lake house at Tuttle Creek and enjoy the wildlife there and spending time with Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She left many memories of wonderful trips and holidays for all of us.
In her younger years she enjoyed painting, golfing, bridge club, church guild and working in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Nispel, Her Parents, Carroll’s Parents, brothers-in law and sisters in law.
Survivors include her Daughter Joy and husband Larry Gaston of Fairbury, Daughter Deborah McCullough of Texas, Grandchildren Kari Stallbaumer and friend Ron of Emmett, KS, Nicole and husband Darin Grummert of Fairbury, Michelle and husband Jerry Paquette of Beatrice, Magan McQuagge of Texas Great-Grandchildren, Paige, Chase, Andrew, Jessa, Colten, Preston, Kiera and Adyson, Sisters Beverly and husband Phil Gibson of Lincoln and Evon Morris of Oklahoma, nieces and nephews.

Services will for family and close friends will be on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Charles Episcopal Church in Fairbury. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury.
Memorials will be given to Camp Jefferson Project where Doloris had very fond memories of her Girl Scout Camp days.
