Donald L. Mitchell

Donald L. Mitchell age 88 of Fairbury passed away on July 26, 2011 in Fairbury. He was born February 28, 1923 at Fairbury the son of Herbert and Elsie Slater Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife Mary Jane Mitchell of Fairbury, daughter Crystal Coatman and husband Ed of Fairbury, sons Don Mitchell, Jr. and wife Arnola of Fairbury, Pat Mitchell and wife Joyce of Hastings, NE, Herb Mitchell and wife Judy of Deshler, NE, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister Mary Itzen and husband Henry of Fairbury. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Arlene Mitchell, Evelyn Rhoden and infant brother Darrel Mitchell.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Fairbury with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Burial of cremains will be in the Fairbury Cemetery.
