Fairbury
Donna M. Shirey, 86 of Fairbury, passed away November 6, 2022 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. She was born June 5, 1936 in Fairbury, NE to Harold and Navine Blanchard Shirey. Donna graduated from Fairbury High School and worked for Starr-Buckow Insurance for over 40 years.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lee and Harold; and sister Bobbie.
She is survived by her niece Angie Tyser and husband Sheldon of Hallam, NE; nephew Scott Shirey of Diller; 3 grand nieces, a great nephew and numerous cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 1 pm at Fairbury Cemetery. A public viewing will be held from 3-8 pm on Wednesday at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home. Memorials have been designated to the family’s choice. www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
