Donna Eileen Starr

Donna Eileen Starr passed away August 14, 2023 at the age of 94. Donna was born July 30, 1929 to Otto and Bertha Fisbeck in Fairbury, NE. Donna was one of 8 children. Donna was raised in and around Fairbury. She graduated from Fairbury High School 1947. She married Dale F. Starr Sept. 21, 1947. They had 2 Sons, Ron and Kipp. They made their home in Fairbury until they moved to Lincoln, NE where Dale became a U.S. recruiter from 1950 to 1952.

In 1952 they returned to Fairbury where Dale went to work as an insurance agent. Donna spent most of her time as a stay at home mom. She worked several part time jobs over the years.

Donna and Dale moved out to the Four Starr Ranch in 1967 and there they farmed with their son Kipp. Farming was in Donna’s blood.  She loved working outside.

In 1991 they moved to Holiday Island, AR where they lived until they returned to Fairbury in 1995.

Donna’s passions were gardening, golfing, quilting, camping and fishing. She was above all a mother and Grandmother. Her grands were her true loves. She had 6 grand kids and 13 great grandkids. Spending time with them made her the happiest. Watching their sports, teaching them to play the piano or the guitar, and top of her list was Babysitting.

Survivors are sister Carolyn Fisher, brother Bob Fisbeck, sister Sandy Milligan, brother Larry Fisbeck, sons Ronald Dale Starr(Terri), Kipp Allen Starr (Mary), 6 grandkids and 13 great grandkids.

Waiting to greet her at the gates of heaven are her beloved husband Dale Starr, parents Otto and Bertha Fisbeck, her brothers Dallas Fisbeck, and Kenny Fisbeck, and her sister Sharon Chappell and many cousins and good friends.

The Celebration of Life/Service will be Friday, Aug. 25 at 11:00am at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home. Memorials will go to the Family's Choice.
