Doris E. Achtemeier age 89 of Fairbury passed away on July 28, 2011. She was born October 23, 1921 at Gladstone, Nebraska the daughter of Gustav and Emma Starck Dux.
Survivors include her daughter Karen Huls and husband Roger, sons Fred Achtemeier and Janice Huss, Robert Achtemeier and wife Diana, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury with Darlene Novotny officiating. Burial will be in the Hope United Cemetery at Harbine, Nebraska. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
