Doris Betty (Anderson) Moellenberndt

Doris Betty (Anderson) Moellenberndt, 86, passed away peacefully on October 9 ^th , 2019 in Fairbury.  She was born August 9 ^th , 1933 in Takotna, Alaska to Ralph and Katherine Anderson.

In 1952 she married Roland Moellenberndt in Anchorage, AK.  The couple resided in Anchorage while Roland was stationed in the Air Force.  Following the birth of their son, the family moved to Fairbury.

Doris and Roland spent much of their lives in Fairbury where their two daughters were born.  In later years, they lived in McGrath and Eagle River, AK before returning to live in Fairbury for the remainder of their lives.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, her husband Roland, five brothers and six sisters.

She is survived by her children, Roland, Jr. (Jacki) Moellenberndt of Fairbury, Wanda (Ron) Peatross of Utah and Kathy Gage of Fairbury, seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Her great joy in life was taking care of children, which also included her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She dearly loved her husband Roland.  She looked forward to the day when they would be together again.

A Memorial service will be held at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Darlene Novotny officiating.  Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery – Western, NE.  Memorials have been established to the Family’s Choice. www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
