Ed King 85 of Fairbury, NE., passed away September 24, 2012 at Gardenside Long Term Care in Fairbury. He was born August 24, 1927 at Pawnee City, NE. to Archer & Mildred (Atkinson) King. Survivors are Wife: Gladys King of Fairbury, Sons: Tom King & Wife Josie of Sand Springs, OK., Dave King & Wife Ann of Tulsa, OK., Daughter: Nancy Maloy of Bellevue, NE., 5 granddaughters and 2 great grandsons. Sisters Laura Turnbull of Pawnee City, NE, Jean Estep of Tulsa, Ok. sister-in-law Delores Bowes and husband Don of Willows, CA, brothers-in-law Wilbur Egbarts of Fremont, NE, Rodney Egbarts and Martin Egbarts both of Gilead, NE. Memorial services will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury, NE, with Pastor Charles Schmidt officiating. In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family's choice. The family will greet friends on Sunday, from 5:00 - 7:00 at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place, No Viewing. A register book is available at the Funeral Home. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
