Edna A. Hammer, 92, of Fairbury, Ne., formerly of Lincoln, passed away February 24, 2014 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury, NE. She was born to John and Emelia (Heller) Oeltjen October 20, 1921 in Reynolds, Ne.
She is survived by sons; John & wife Linda Hammer of Fairbury, NE., Dennis Hammer of Fullerton, NE., daughter; Jolene Bennett and husband (Wes) of Central Point, OR., Sister-in-law; Velma Hammer of Fairbury, 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, husband; George, brother; Lawrence Oeltjen, sisters; Anna Rahe, Esther Oeltjen and Irene Oeltjen.
Services will be Friday, February 28, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Charles Schmidt officiating. Memorials will go to Grace Lutheran Church. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of the arrangements.
