Esther L. Moser

Esther Louise Moser passed away on June 23, 2015. She was born on December 23, 1923 to Carl and Minnie Lucking on the family farm in Garden City, Kansas.

Esther’s earliest memories of being raised on the farm is picking mulberries with her sisters and sewing dresses from feed sacks. With the help of friends she met Earl Moser and they married on September 22, 1946. To this union three children were born Michael, James and Sharon.

Esther was a homemaker and secretary for the family business Moser Motor Company. After retirement she enjoyed attending auctions where she visited with many friends. Esther also enjoyed many camping trips to Colorado, with Estes Park and Peaceful Valley being her favorite campsites. Her favorite hobbies at home were hand embroidery, quilting and watching auto racing.

Esther is preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, eldest son Michael, two sisters and their spouses Alma and Carl Witherall, and LaRee and Cyril Backer.

Esther will be dearly missed by her son James of Fairbury and daughter Sharon of Lincoln and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Fairbury, with Pastor Ken Hart officiating. Memorials will go to St. Judes Children's Hospital. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
