Francis Lavern Schlichtman

Francis LaVern Schlichtman passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Fairbury, Nebraska. She was born August 24, 1921 to Harry and Mable (Messinger) Lambert in Kirk, Colorado. She married Ervin A. Schlichtman on June 5, 1939 in Denver, Colorado. She was baptized on November 5, 1943 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Blue Hill, NE.

LaVern is survived by her sister Pat Younger of Denver, Colorado, her son Richard and wife Lola Schlichtman and son Charles and wife Cindy Schlichtman of Fairbury, and 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. LaVern was preceded in death by her husband Erv, her brothers Eugene, Robert and Max, sisters Goldie and Evelyn and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Fairbury with Pastor David White officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery.
