Gail W. Cane

Gail W. Cane, 83 of Fairbury, NE, formerly of Fort Myers, FL, passed away March 1, 2017 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. He was born to Charles S. and Sybil Marie (Averill) Cane September 24, 1933 at Alexandria, NE. Gail was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired school teacher.

Gail lived a full life and touched so many lives - he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by wife Barbara of Fairbury, Step-daughters Amy Smith & Jennifer Hardin (Winn); granddaughter Sophia all of Neptune Beach, FL and brother Lyle Cane of Denver, CO.

Preceded in death by parents Charles and Marie Cane and brothers Lowell, Paul and Eldon (Perry) Cane.

Per Gail's wishes, there will be no public memorial service. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
