Gary Lee Achtemeier

Gary L. Achtemeier, 75, of Fairbury, Nebraska, passed away March 25, 2022. Gary was born in Fairbury, Nebraska, the son of Harold and Letha Achtemeier. He attended Fairbury Public Schools and went on to continue his education at Southeast Community College.

Gary was united in marriage to Linda McDaniel Frades on July 5, 1985. They resided in Fairbury. Gary worked for the Stanton Farm Services before becoming a long-haul truck driver for 10 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Jerry Achtemeier, and sister, Cheryl Zwiefel.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, sons, Danny Achtemeier, Troy Achtemeier, step-daughters, Shelly McKinstry (Jud), Cindy Williams (Russ), 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a neice and nephew. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials will be designated to the family’s choice.
