Gary Leo Nance

Gary Leo Nance was born on March 4th, 1940 to Wilbur and Anna (Leggett) Nance in Fairbury, NE.
He attended East Ward Elementary school and graduated from Fairbury Jr./Sr. High School.
In his early years he delivered newspapers and later worked for McKay Trucking, Petersen Wrench Factory, Preston Mills, and Endicott Clay Products.
On a trip to El Paso, Texas he met his wife, Karen and they married in 1988.
Gary passed away on September 5th, 2019 at age 79.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother, brother, Floyd Nance, sister, Donna Danner, nephews, Dennis Roland, James “Rick” Roland, John Lee Spanjer, Jim Nance, and Craig Nance.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, step children, Eunice, and Galen of El Paso, Eileen, Delice, and grandchildren Madeline, Cassidy, and Ethan of Pasadena, California, brother, Loyal (Sally) Nance of El Paso, sisters, Lucille Roland, Shirley Spanjer of Fairbury, Sheila Overton of Des Moines, and brother-in-law Lyle Danner of Fairbury, Kenneth Nance (Jan) of Fairbury, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Services will be Friday, September 27th, 2019 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. No viewing as cremation has taken place. Burial at a later date in Diller, NE.
Memorials will go to: Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s.
