Gerhard A. Schmidt

Gerhard A. Schmidt 97 of Fairbury, passed away April 8, 2014 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. He was born March 4, 1917 at Daykin, NE. to Fred & Dora (Meyer) Schmidt. He was a W W II Army Veteran.

Survivors are Wife: Lylice Schmidt of Fairbury, Son: Dwight Schmidt & Wife Barb of Fairbury, Daughter: Lynne Copple & Husband Hal of Rockhill, SC., 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren. Preceded by Parents, Brothers &  Wives Raymond & Lillian, Orville & Grace, & Randall.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday April 11, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury with Pastor Charles Schmidt officiating. No viewing at the church. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday April 11 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery – Daykin, NE. The family will greet friends on Thur. April 10th at the Funeral Home in Fairbury from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  Memorials to the Family’s Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
