Harold Frederick Endorf went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 27, 2021, while a resident at Gardenside LTC in Fairbury, NE.  He was born April 17, 1923 near Tobias, NE to Ernest L. & Louise (Struckman) Endorf.

Harold became a child of God on May 26, 1923 when Rev. E. O. Potratz baptized him at Zion Lutheran Church.  He attended Zion Lutheran School and was confirmed on March 21, 1937 by Rev. W. G. Nau at Zion Lutheran Church.  His confirmation verse was Revelation 2:10b – “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of Life.”  His confirmation song was “Take Thou My Hand and Lead Me”, which was sung in German.

On June 16, 1946 he married Gertrude Moeller, who was a teacher at Zion.  The service was performed by Rev. Carl Brueggemann at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Gresham, NE.

Harold and Gertrude lived on the family farm until they retired and moved to Daykin, NE.  They were blessed with two daughters, Arlyce & Sheryl.  Farming was Harold’s main focus in life; he kept up with the latest ways of agriculture.

Harold served the Lord by being Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, elder, and treasurer for many years.  He was also on Zion’s Centennial Committee.  He followed in his Dad’s footsteps by serving on the Beatrice Lutheran Hospital Board of Directors for a number of years.

Survivors are Arlyce & Norbert Klipp, Sheryl and Kenneth Kruse both of Hanover, KS.  His grandchildren are Andy (Mandy) Klipp, Tim (Jennifer) Klipp, Becky (Greg) Ohlson, Andrea (Clayton) Ohlde, Vicky (Chris) Ziegler, Colleen (Sheldon) Voet, Lisa (Andrew) Moreau, Jeffery (Jill) Kruse, and Matthew (Laura) Kruse.
