Helen was born May 25, 1941 in Fairbury Nebraska to Harry and Hallie (Ledger) Kinzie. She along with her twin brother Harvey spent her childhood growing up with 6 more brother and 4 sisters.
She was married to the love of her life Ralph Hevelone for 35 years and their family included children Teresa, Rodney, Roger and Debbie.
She passed over in the early morning of April 10th at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury Nebraska. At the age of 74 she was preceded in death by: parents Hallie and Harry Kinzie, sisters Fern Gates, Flossie Kinzie and Betty Reeves; brothers William, Cliff, Jim, Frank and George Kinzie and by her former husband Ralph Hevelone.
While raising four children, Helen worked at; Campbell Soup, Pamida and Truck Haven in Omaha. Her last position was with Casey's General Store in Fairbury. Over her life she lived in Fairbury, Springfield and Omaha Nebraska and Colorado Springs Colorado.
Those who remain to celebrate and mourn her life are daughters: Teresa Brown of Colorado Springs and Debbie and husband Bill Stogdill of Omaha; sons: Rodney and wife Robin of Hopkins Missouri; Roger and wife Annabel of Hanover Kansas.
By 18 grandchildren: Akela Martin, Angela Brown, Sara Rowland, Heather Covington; Jason, Tasha, Todd, Randall and Nathaniel Hevelone; Alicia, Donnie and Johnnie Aken; J.J. and Kya Rodgers; Marvin, Billy, Gilbert and Gabrielle Stogdill.
By 20 great grandchildren: Orianna, Gabriel, Draven, Nevaeh, Xanderieh, Kyawana, Taveon, Emalyn, Charlotte, Abagail, Mya Bella, Noah, Ethan, Seth, Zaine, James, Railey, Elijah, Luke and Lillian.
By brothers Harold of Brighton Colorado and Harvey of Ft. Myers Flordia and their wives Virginia and Judy.
By nieces Ramona Endorf and Sharon Carbaugh of Fairbury and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury with Sharon Schuster officiating. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice. Burial in the Fairbury Cemetery. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
