James "Jimmy" L. Johnson

James L. Johnson (Jimmy), 81 of Fairbury, NE passed away on April 1 ^st , 2022.  Jimmy was born on November 13 ^th , 1940 in Fairbury, NE to James and June (Littrell) Johnson.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Ruth, Daughters; Becci Moser of Fairbury, Niki Sokolik of Fairbury, and Cheryl Popkey of Hutchinson, KS. Son; Ronald Johnson of Moundridge, KS.  Grandchildren; Ashley Hyman, Trenton (Hayley) Sokolik, Crystal Sokolik, Jeremy (Chelsea) Jackson, Jorel Jackson, Justin (Jenny) Johnson, Wesley (Abby) Johnson, Brandon (Kaitlyn) Johnson.  Great Grandchildren; Alex Byrd, Lily Hyman, Braiden Sokolik, Maliyh and Zayden Jackson, Aralyn Jackson, Dawson Johnson, and Noah Johnson.  Brother; Danny (Sheryl) Johnson.  Sister; Patty Hutchinson.  Sister in laws; Evelyn Georgi, Shirley Fritz, Andrea Durfee.  Brother-in-law; Ed (Gayle) Durfee.  Numerous, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by; his parents, father and mother in law; Lawrence and Verna Durfee, son in law; Mike Moser, granddaughter; Shannon Moser, sister; Daisy Kleffner.  Brother in laws; Gene Kleffner, Tom Hutchinson, Larry Durfee, Lynn Georgi, Emil Sokol, Chester Nixon, Roy Miller, and Harold Fritz, sister in laws; Mae Sokol and Geri Nixon, Niece; Judy Nixon.

Services will be Friday, April 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home with Lana Likens officiating.  The Family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 at the Funeral Home.  Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice.  Casual dress is requested. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
