James W. Thornburg

James (Jim) Wilton Thornburg entered into eternal life Wednesday June 30th 2021 at the age of 66 years.  He was born March 2, 1955 to Wilton Jr and Doris Thornburg.

Jim grew up in Fairbury but spent the last 35 years in Louisiana where he established his own business of “Thornburg Monuments” until his retirement.  He recently moved back home to Nebraska to be closer to Family.

He leaves behind special friend Kathy Boroff, sons Chad Thornburg (Cristin), Shane Thornburg (special friend Fonda), three beautiful Granddaughters who were his pride and joy Cherry-Leigh, Caitlyn, and Carson, siblings Cyn (Mike) Stockwell, Dixie Bolender, Debbie (Doug) Ripa, Diane Oltman (Steve), Steve Thornburg and Michelle (Wilbur) Young, numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by parents Wilton Jr and Doris Thornburg.

Services will be Saturday July 24th, 10:00 am @ Crystal Springs with Sharon Schuster officiating and of course providing the music.
