Jim Bender, age 60 of Steele City, Nebraska passed away on June 29, 2008. He was born March 25, 1948 at Jamestown, PA. the son of James and Ruie Claycomb Bender, Sr.

Survivors include his wife Carole, children Lisa Gembala and husband Mitch, Brian Bender and wife Shirley, James Bender and wife Dawn, Candice Bender and friend John Madera, brothers Robert Bender and wife Marilyn, David Bender, sisters Janet Gray and husband Jim, Carol Cornman and husband Bob, father James A. Bender, Sr., 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hollenberg, Kansas Cemetery with Don Canady officiating.
