Joann Lightbody

Passed away on Saturday at Garden County Hospital in Oshkosh, NE.
Born if Fairbury, NE graduating High School in 1951. Married Richard Lightbody on December 29, 1951.
Preceding her in death were her parents (Daisy and Raymond Corbin); husband (Richard); Siblings, Jack, Virginia, Darlene, and Doran.
Survivors include her son, Alan and his wife Vivian Lightbody, Omaha, NE
daughters, Alana Crowder and her husband (Mark) Batavia, Illinois
Dana Fischer and her husband (Mike) Oshkosh, NE
Diane Lightbody and her significant other (Gene Wessel) Lincoln, NE
sister, LaNette Rosener - Fairbury, NE
brothers, Rodney Corbin and wife (Marie) - Pine, Arizona

JoAnn’s work career included a secretarial position at the Hested’s store, and many years working as a seamstress at both the Kellwood and Swingster companies in Fairbury.
In 2007 JoAnn moved to the assisted living facility in Lewellen, NE and in 2010 moved to live at the Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh, NE until her death.
JoAnn enjoyed reading, puzzles, cards, and Nebraska Football. She dearly loved her family and friends and had a lifelong love of dogs.
Services will be held at Gerdes Meyer Chapel on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joel Hahn officiating. Burial will be in Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials are to the family's choice.
