Joe D. Busing

Joe D. Busing, 68 of Fairbury, passed away at home on Monday, October 23, 2017 after a 10 year battle with cancer.  He was born on September 28, 1949 in Fairbury, NE to Paul & Iola (Dibben) Busing.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra of Fairbury, children Jenifer Busing of York, NE, Justin & Bobbie Busing of Council Bluffs, IA, one grandson Aaron Busing of Council Bluffs, IA, brothers Wayne (Muriel) Busing of Pataskala, OH, Fred Busing of Mt. Home, ID, Mark (Diana) Busing of Fairbury, Bruce (Suzy) Busing of Fairbury, George (Bill) (Lori) Busing of Fairbury, Earl Busing and special friend Deb Niemeyer of Fairbury, sisters Nancy Lashley of Stapleton, NE, Donna (Doug) Shultz of Fairbury, Linda (Kent) Siebe of Fairbury, brother-in-law Mark Lawrence of Fairbury and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday October 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Fairbury with Father Robert Barnhill officiating.  A Rosary will be held Friday evening at 7:00 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury.  Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery at Alexandria, NE.  Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice.  Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
