John Raymond Ebeling

John Raymond "Dutch" Ebeling, age 78, of Steele City, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Bryan LGH East Hospital in Lincoln. He was born April 14, 1930 in Hollenberg, Kansas the son of Otto and Elsie Bradley Ebeling.

Survivors include sons Raymond Ebeling and wife Jan of Fairbury, Daniel Ebeling of Beatrice, Dale Ebeling and Marsha of Steele City, Bruce Ebeling and Candy of Wymore, and Richard Ebeling of Beatrice; daughters Sharon Shufeldt of Wymore, Amy and Brian Crow of DeWitt, and Laurie and Chuck Buess of Wymore; 30 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; brothers Noel and Ruby Ebeling of Steele City and Loren and Linda Ebeling of Montour, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, brothers Lloyd and Jim, sister Helen, 2 children Donna Rae and Donald Joe and great grandson Jackson.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Steele City, NE with Don Canady officiating. Burial will follow at the Steele City Cemetery. Memorials are to the family's choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
