June Simnitt

June Simnitt, 86, of Valencia, California, formerly of Fairbury, passed away on September 8, 2012. She was born June 20, 1926 to Frank and Edna Graves in Hollenberg, KS.


In October 1943 June married Noel Simnitt and to that union were born, Wayne Simnitt of San Diego, Ca. and Betty (Frank) Arenson of Valencia, CA.


In addition to her son and daughter, June is survived by grandchildren Curt Simnitt of San Diego, CA.; Marty (Kim) Siebe of Spokane, WA.; Melanie McMorrow of Valencia, CA. and step-granddaughter Stacey (Barry) Gavenda of Chicago, IL.; great-grandchildren Crystal (Kevin) Wingenroth of Jacksonville, NC.; Danny Curry of Arroyo Grande, CA.; Megan (James) Hayward of Spokane, WA.; Mason Siebe of Spokane, WA.; Melissa Siebe of Spokane, WA.; step great-grandchildren Elyssa and Michael Gavenda of Chicago, IL.; great-great-grandchildren Cameron Wingenroth of Jacksonville, NC. and Emery Hayward of Spokane, WA.


June was preceded in death by her husband Noel Simnitt, her parents and brothers Paul Graves and Noel Graves.


Services will be at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home located at 2414 "H" St., Fairbury, NE. on Saturday September 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Presbyterian church.
