Kathryn H. Kroeker

Kathryn H. Kroeker 93, of Jansen, NE passed away March 19, 2016 at Gardenside LTC in Fairbury. She was born August 19, 1922 in Jansen, NE to Henry and Lena (Friesen) Kroeker.

Kathryn went to country school near Jansen. She went to Omaha to Grace Bible Institute and worked in the kitchen and went to college in 1956 & 1957 until her mom got sick with cancer. So Kathryn came back to Jansen and lived there until she moved to Gardenside LTC in Fairbury. She a long time member of the Jansen Bible Church, and knew her Bible very well.

Kathryn liked being outdoors and she enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed quilting. She always had chocolate for her niece and nephews.

Kathryn is survived by brother Isaac of Fairbury, sister-in-law Esther of Beatrice, 1 niece Becky Taylor, 2 nephews Bob & Russ Kroeker, a great niece and 2 great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Lena, brothers Ben & Klaas & 2 great nephews.

Services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday March 22, 2016 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home Chapel in Fairbury, with Pastor Paul Carpenter officiating. Memorials to Jansen Bible Church. Burial at the Jansen Cemetery-Jansen, NE.
