Keith "Rube" Theodore Pralle

Keith “Rube” Pralle, 57, of Diller, NE, passed away November 23, 2016 at his home. He was born to Rueben and Lucille (Bartels) Pralle July 26, 1959 in Beatrice, NE.

Keith “Rube” Pralle was baptized at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Odell, NE in 1959.

He was confirmed April 15, 1973 by Pastor Timothy Zimmerman.

Keith graduated from Diller High School in 1977. He went on to work at Dempsters until the foundry closed down, then it was on to Endicott Brickyard for 2 years before he started working for StoreKraft Manufacturing for 32 years until it closed.

Rube was always an avid Diller Eagle supporter, announcing the school football games many years before he announced the Diller Odell Griffin football games. He was hoping to be well enough to do that again.

Rube’s favorite baseball team was KC Royals. He enjoyed listening to Trans Siberian Orchestra. He always made time for his nieces and nephews activities as well, rarely declining to ride along and watch them play no matter how far the games were away.

Everyone that knew him, knows he was a diehard Nebraska Cornhusker. He thoroughly enjoyed football but he watched and attended womens volleyball equally. Let it not be said that his love for Nebraska didn’t provoke a little tension at family gatherings.

With this in mind we ask that you wear Cornhusker shirts or Christmas colors if that helps you save face for the service. If I were to ask Rube now if this would be ok, you know he would say “you bet”.

Rube is survived by his mother Lucille Pralle of Hanover, KS, sisters Deb (Gary) Schramm of Odell, NE, Linda (Gary) Alm of Crab Orchard, NE, Kathy (Brend) King of Wathena, KS, brothers Michael (Patty) Pralle of Kennett Square, PA, Jon (Gina) Pralle of Hanover, KS, 17 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of many, many good friends.

Preceded in death by father Reuben, and sister Beth Marie.

Services will be Saturday December 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Odell with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Memorials will go to Family’s Choice. Burial of cremains will be at Prairie Home Cemetery at Diller, following the services. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
